Learn a spiritually and ecologically-connected form of agriculture and get a season of vegetables under your belt in our season-long Biodynamic Internship program at Three Springs Community Farm. Starting now through the end of March, and continuing through November, with an option to continue through the winter if desired.
Interns live and work at the farm with 24 hours of weekly hands-on field learning, approximately 3 hours of weekly dawn/dusk animal care chores, and optional weekend classes in Biodynamic Agriculture topics such as farming in the cycles of the moon, sun & planets; application of herbal biodynamic earth medicine; biodynamic pest & weed management; biodynamic cooking & nutrition; plant family identification; animal husbandry, etc. The weekly on-field schedule is Tuesdays-Fridays 9am-4pm in winter and 8am-3pm as the sun rises earlier in the spring and summer.
Interns each live in their own trailer dwelling with kitchen, bath, etc., and also have shared use of our community kitchen, bathroom and laundry facility. All utilities, ample vegetables & staple foods, and some eggs are provided (interns purchase their own fruit, meat, dairy products, etc.). Sick time and 2 weeks of pre-set summer vacations are provided.
To explore whether this would be a good fit, please review the following websites: https://www.biodynamics.com/, https://anthroposophy.org/ & www.rudolfsteiner.org/
To apply, please email why you wish to join the program, along with your resume, 2 current work references and 1 current roommate/community living reference to figwortrs@gmail.com. After a successful phone interview the next step will be a working interview and reference checks.
