Would you consider helping establish biodynamics in Romania?
We seek a biodynamic gardener, or farmer, to help us renew our fields and gardens, and produce good healthy food for our local community. We steward some 2 hectares (5acres) of workable land in the Carpathian foothills bordering the Danube plain. For over 25 years we have worked our gardens, orchards and fields organically without pesticides or fertilizers.
Our association has been active in curative education and social therapy since 1991, founding places for living andworking with people with special soul needs, in particular orphaned and abandoned children and adults. The new UrlaţiHub initiative is focused on improving quality of social, cultural and economic life in the community, including life with land and nature. Our mission is to heal land and peoplethere where we can!
The ideal candidate would be trained in BD; capable of establishing BD horticulture (possibly with animals); open to developing a self-sustaining social enterprise and working with people with soul care needs in collaboration with the Hub initiative; willing to face the challenges of Romanian/East European life; prepared to commit for at least a year, initially on a volunteer basis.
We can offer food, lodging and pocket money in the framework of our little shared living community.
