We are a living laboratory that cultivates, educates, and empowers people of all ages. We are devoted to the global paradigm shift toward hope and abundance by valuing diversity, modeling nature, and redefining wealth. RTB is seeking a passionate and motivated individual to join our team as a full-time Farm Educator & Farm Care Specialist. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled.  Anticipated start is June 2026.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Our Farm Educator & Farm Care Specialist position requires a highly motivated and energetic individual who is passionate about RTB’s mission and local food systems. It is expected that this employee will actively participate in supporting the overall mission of RTB.

The employee will work under the direction of our Executive Director and Education Manager, supporting education programs and initiatives while also assisting with the care and maintenance of farm animals, grounds, and infrastructure.

This position focuses on learning the nuances of our diverse sustainable practices and applications in order to holistically understand and effectively teach about the work we do. Responsibilities include engaging farm visitors (including RTB volunteers) of all ages in service learning, experiential education (farm tours and field trips), and a wide range of inquiry-based learning projects, as well as hands-on gardening, food processing, and various sustainability initiatives.

Groundskeeping responsibilities are an important part of this role and include mowing, trimming, and raking farm grounds; helping to maintain fence lines; and supporting the overall upkeep, safety, and appearance of the farm. Animal care is primarily related to management of a few small flocks of chickens.

The Farm Educator & Farm Care Specialist will also participate in shared community cooking, food preservation, monthly Open Farm Days, and occasional support of other farm projects and events as needed.
