Biodynamic experience is required. Certification is preferred to offer an internship program.

Willing to learn about the native environment, tropical plants and seasons.

Responsibilities:
-
Coordinating work with the Biodynamic “BD” calendar, implementing overall BD practices: maintaining soil health, planting, harvesting, compost building, preparation applications, and record keeping.

Participate with interviewing, training, and working with the farm crew.

Coordinating deliveries of produce for markets and food hubs for distribution.(possible CSA).

Keep track of inventory and materials, tools, supplies and order in a timely manner.

Have a good relationship with farm equipment ie, maintenance, manage repairs.

Knowledge and maintenance of the irrigation system that comes from mountain river water. We have a filtration system with a fifteen thousand gallon water tank.

Removing invasive species, pest management.

Work is 5-6 days per week, 5 to 6 hours a day, could be more if you have experience and ability to run an internship program, offer farm tours, and teach classes,

Network with the Maui community, ie: attend Maui Farmers Union meetings.

There is a communal farm kitchen, bathroom, and outdoor enclosed shower (see the stars at night!).There will be a one-month orientation period provided by the present farm manager, who is BD trained, but not certified. We are a drug and tobacco free environment.
