Allegheny Mountain Institute seeks Farm Manager to manage the diversified farm central to the Allegheny Mountain Institute Fellowship, an intensive, hands-on cooperative experiential learning and training program in beautiful Highland County, VA.

Garden Manager position available at Heartbeet Lifesharing, VT

The Garden Manager oversees our one-acre annual vegetable and flower garden operation. This includes seed and supply ordering, sowing, transplanting, cultivating, harvesting, storing, and everything in between. The Garden Manager heads crews to accomplish all these tasks, working side-by-side with individuals of mixed abilities. At least two full seasons of experience working on an organic or Biodynamic garden are required. Some tractor experience would be a benefit but not required. Some knowledge of Biodynamics would also be helpful but again not a requirement.

Greenway farm is a sustainability-focused farm using biointensive techniques, wind energy, and aquaponics. Our goal is to provide high quality local produce for our community. The 2 acre farm (including greenhouses) sits within 108 acres zoned to become the home of Kingston Village, a open space green community in Kingston, MA. We seek a self starter who would be excited to manage the daily farm operations independently while working with the owner to develop a structured long term plan.
