Position summary:
Plowshare Farm is in search of a farmer with dairy, pasture care, and equipment experience, who is open to biodynamic principles, to join our farm crew and help carry our animal husbandry, dairy and meat production. Strong candidates will have experience in pasture care, grazing rotation, fencing, haying, maintenance of farm equipment, herd health oversight, and other aspects of animal husbandry.
Threshold Farm is seeking applicants for full-time positions on a biodynamic farm/orchard in New York’s Upper Hudson Valley.
Applicants should have some farming experience, a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, an interest in biodynamics, mechanical aptitude, interest in livestock (cattle) with a focus on orchards.
We offer housing, a stipend, vegetables and fruit. Potential for long-term involvement on this long-established commercial orchard/farm following the initial training period.
