2016 Biodynamic Conference Scholarships

Thanks to the contributions of generous donors, assistance with conference registration fees is available to those with financial need through the Biodynamic Scholarship Fund. Launched in 2010 to help farmers, aspiring farmers and others to attend our North American Biodynamic Conference, the Biodynamic Scholarship Fund has awarded over $80,000 in scholarships to more than 400 individuals to date. If you, or someone you know, is in a position to support the Scholarship Fund, please visit our Scholarship Donor Page.

Priority for awards is given to applicants who demonstrate a commitment to pursuing biodynamic farming or gardening, including:

  • Apprentices enrolled in the North American Biodynamic Apprenticeship Program (NABDAP)
  • Existing farmers
  • Members of the Biodynamic Association

Motivation to attend the conference, financial need, and diversity are also considered in determining awards. Individuals who are able are encouraged to apply to volunteer at the conference as well.

This year, thanks to special contributions to the Devon Strong Scholarship Fund and the Estevan Arrellano Scholarship Fund, we are pleased to have funds dedicated to helping people from Indigenous and Latin American communities attend the biodynamic conference. Individuals applying for these funds should use the same application process below.

Most scholarships for the 2016 North American Biodynamic Conference will be awarded for conference registration fees only. Limited assistance with meals and travel is available only to apprentices enrolled NABDAP.
