How to Register

Walk-in registration is available starting Wednesday, November 14 at the Red Lion Inn Jantzen Beach. Tickets are available for many Wednesday and Thursday pre-conference workshops, as well as full conference registration and day passes for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

The registration area will be open at the following times:

Wednesday, November 14: 7:30 am - 6:00 pm
Thursday, November 15: 7:30 am - 6:00 pm
Friday, November 16: 7:00 am - 7:30 pm
Saturday, November 17: 7:00 am - 7:30 pm
Sunday, November 18: 7:30 am - 9:30 am

Member discount: If you are interested in becoming a member of the BDA and registering for the conference at a discounted price, please follow these steps:

  1. Become a member at any level.
  2. Log out of the website after completing your membership payment transaction.
  3. Come back to complete your registration at this page. Be sure to log back in before you begin your registration after becoming a member. Logging in will enable your member discount.

Children at the Conference

We are a family-friendly conference and encourage children to participate! Children ages 0-5 attend the conference free with a parent. Childcare is not available for ages 0-5 so a parent must accompany the child at all times.

Children ages 6-15 may attend the conference for a fee. See the conference registration rates above for more information. Children’s workshops and activities will be available at certain times throughout the conference. Visit our Children at the Conference page for information on children's activities.


Members: Members of the Biodynamic Association receive an extra 10% off (Soil Builder members) or 20% off (Seed Sower and above members) of registration to the main conference. Become a member at any level before you register to receive your automatic discount. Membership is available on a sliding scale starting for as little as $5 and includes many benefits in addition to registration discounts, including access to the Biodynamics journal and the Biodynamic Directory. Scholarships: Thanks to the contributions of generous and dedicated donors, assistance with conference registration fees is available to those with financial need. Through the Biodynamic Scholarship Fund, we will award as many scholarships as possible. 

Second-round scholarship applications were due September 21. Those who have registered and later receive a scholarship will receive a refund for the difference.

Volunteers: Volunteer positions have all been filled.

Payment, Transfers, Cancellation, and Refunds

Payment is due in full within 7 days of registration. If you do not wish to pay by credit card or PayPal when you register, please mail a check made out to Biodynamic Association to PO Box 557, East Troy, WI 53120, and include a copy of your registration confirmation. If we do not receive your payment within 7 days, we reserve the right to cancel your registration. To discuss a payment plan option, contact us by phone or email.

Your registration may be transferred to another person without a processing fee until November 1, 2018. Contact the registrar with a transfer request.

Cancellation requests must be provided by email to (link sends e-mail) by November 1, 2018. You are responsible for ensuring that we receive your written request. Upon receipt of a cancellation request, we will reply by email with a written acknowledgment.

Registration fees are refundable, minus a $20 administrative fee, if a written request is received by November 1, 2018. Due to our financial obligations to the facility and presenters, we are unable to offer any refund for any reason if emailed or postmarked after November 1, 2018. We will do our best to respond to refund requests in a timely manner; however, we reserve the right to issue any refund after the conference is completed.
